With less than a year left on his current deal, Leeds seems unwilling to extend his contract and could look to recoup a fee for the 27-year-old this summer. Firpo himself appears eager to return to his former club Real Betis.
Despite Firpo’s high salary potentially complicating negotiations, he is reportedly willing to make sacrifices to secure a move back to Real Betis. The possibility of reuniting with former Leeds teammates at Betis might be a driving factor for Firpo in seeking a transfer.
