MEDICAL SET FOR TODAY as Leeds United man flies out to seal new transfer, hefty buy option – Fabrizio Romano

Leeds United’s right-back Rasmus Kristensen is set to go out on loan to Eintracht Frankfurt this week, with a medical appointment scheduled for today.

With Leeds playing their first game in front of fans since the playoff final defeat, there will be changes to the lineup as they face Harrogate Town.

Along with the departures from Leeds’ first team this summer, the 49ers have been sorting out loan arrangements for some players, including Kristensen.

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Kristensen will be leaving on a season-long loan deal, with an option to buy included. He will undergo a medical with Robin Koch’s Bundesliga club before signing the deal.

Kristensen spent the previous season on loan at Roma where he did not impress, and now has the chance to prove himself at Frankfurt.

The details of the deal, including a buyout clause of either £15million or €15million, are still unclear. Leeds had signed Kristensen for £10million in 2022, and his value now stands at £6million.

It’s evident that Kristensen was not keen on returning to Leeds, and it seems unlikely that he will win over the fans now. Despite his previous struggles, Frankfurt are willing to take a chance on him.
