DONE DEAL “here we go” paperwork signed and sealed” -Celtic finally completed mega transfer deal as Brendan Rodgers lands long-term target with fee revealed.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is on the verge of securing his third signing of the summer with the acquisition of Paulo Bernardo. The midfielder, who impressed during his loan spell at Parkhead from Benfica last season, has caught the eye of Rodgers and the Hoops faithful. Following his impressive contributions to Celtic’s double-winning campaign, the club has been working hard to bring him back on a permanent basis.

After weeks of negotiations, Mais Futebol has reported that “Benfica have finalized the transfer of Paulo Bernardo to Celtic.” The deal is said to be worth around €3m (£2.5m) and will see the player sign a five-year contract. Goalkeepers Kasper Schmeichel and Viljami Sinisalo have already made the move to the Scottish champions earlier this summer.

The official announcement of Bernardo’s transfer is expected once all the contract formalities have been completed. Speaking about the midfielder, Rodgers commented, “There’s ongoing work being done behind the scenes but until everything is confirmed, we will keep you updated. We are focused on improving and progressing this season, and I expect us to strengthen our squad by the end of the transfer window.”

With the players showing promising development and commitment during pre-season, Rodgers is optimistic about the team’s prospects for the upcoming season. The club is determined to build on their successes and continue moving forward.
