Although progress is being made on Bernardo and Idah, Celtic are facing obstacles in their pursuit of Wolves left-back Hugo Bueno, who the Premier League side has confirmed they have no intention of loaning out.
After weeks of negotiations over financial details, Bernardo is set to become Celtic’s first outfield signing of the summer on a five-year deal. While some fans may have been hoping for a striker to provide cover for Kyogo Furuhashi, the return of Bernardo may not have been their top priority.
