Reports suggest that Coventry City are interested in potentially loaning young Liverpool midfielder Bobby Clark, who has caught the eye of RB Salzburg as well. Liverpool is reportedly seeking £12million for the talented 19-year-old, but they are taking their time to decide on his future. The Reds may choose to send him out on loan to aid in his development, with interest from other clubs such as Norwich, Leeds, and Sheffield United.
Clark, known for his attacking prowess in central midfield, impressed with 13 senior appearances under Jurgen Klopp last season. He played a key role in Liverpool’s League Cup Final victory over Chelsea and scored in the Europa League match against Sparta Prague.
Currently recovering from a minor back injury, Clark is back in training with Liverpool’s Under-21s and is open to a loan move to gain more experience. Salzburg, managed by Klopp’s former assistant, are eager to sign him permanently, but Liverpool is holding out for a significant fee.
Coventry owner Doug King typically prefers permanent signings over loan deals, but Clark may provide a valuable addition to their squad. With an array of attacking options already available, including summer signing Jack Rudoni, Mark Robins may consider a more defensive-minded midfielder to bolster the team.
