Blackpool has bolstered their defensive lineup by adding Elkan Baggott to their squad earlier this week. The Indonesian international joins the team on a season-long loan from Ipswich Town, bringing with him experience from previous clubs in League One.
During the latter part of the previous season, the 21-year-old played 14 games for Bristol Rovers, managing to score one goal and provide one assist. Former Gas reporter Harry Langstaff sheds light on what Baggott brings to the Tangerine squad:

Langstaff also highlights Baggott’s impact on the pitch, particularly his commanding presence in both defensive and offensive situations:

Considering Baggott’s youth, Langstaff believes League One is a suitable level for him at this stage, suggesting he has the potential to contribute to a promotion push, possibly through the play-offs.
Despite his young age, Baggott’s extensive playing experience, including representing Indonesia in major tournaments like the Asia Cup, is evident in his on-field performance. As for his passing abilities, particularly with his dominant left foot, Langstaff suggests there is room for improvement in his right-footed passing, especially when building out from the backline.
