ANOTHER DOUBLE TRANSFER RAID CONFIRMED: West Ham desperate for French superstar, willing to break the bank for TWO players in shocking transfer swoop – sources reveal

West Ham are reportedly eyeing a move for young defender Bastien Meupiyou from Nantes, as per reports from HITC. The Irons are interested in the teenage centre-back, with competition from clubs in France and England, notably Wolves who are currently leading the race.

Tottenham and Everton are also keeping tabs on Meupiyou, but a second bid of £4.3 million has already been made by Wolves. The recent acquisition of Max Kilman by West Ham has potentially influenced this move.

Julen Lopetegui’s favorite, Jean-Clair Todibo, has also joined the squad at the London Stadium. However, the possibility of Kurt Zouma and Nayef Aguerd leaving remains, especially after Angelo Ogbonna’s departure earlier in the summer.

West Ham are currently in discussions with Nantes regarding a potential move for another player, Nathan Zeze, indicating the club’s active transfer strategy in defense.

The departures of Kilman and potentially Zouma and Aguerd could leave West Ham short at the back. The need for reinforcements is clear, especially if injuries strike as they have in previous seasons.

While Wolves seem keen on securing Meupiyou’s services, West Ham may not want to engage in a bidding war for a player with limited senior experience. However, Tim Steidten seems determined to continue reshaping the squad, leaving the door open for further transfers in the coming weeks.
