As Celtic continues their pursuit of new talent for the team, one player who was rumored to catch Brendan Rodgers’ interest over the summer now appears to be leaving his current club.
Tanner Tessman was linked with a move to Celtic after a potential transfer to Inter Milan fell through in July due to failed negotiations with his agents.
Despite interest from Turin, Parma, Como, Brentford, and Celtic, Tessman’s future remains uncertain with no recent updates. However, Venezia’s general director, Filippo Antonelli, recently announced that the 22-year-old midfielder is no longer part of the Serie A club’s plans.
Antonelli stated that Tessman will continue training with the first team but is not included in the squad for the upcoming season. This decision seems to have been influenced by speculation surrounding his future and his lack of commitment to Venezia’s project.
Although Tessman has represented the USA internationally and showcased his skills in the Paris Olympics, his potential move away from Venezia could present an opportunity for Celtic to consider him as a valuable addition to their squad.
While Celtic has already secured signings like Paulo Bernardo, Tessman’s versatility and talent may still make him a player worth monitoring as he navigates his way out of Venezia.
