Aston Villa defender Alex Moreno will be undergoing a medical with Nottingham Forest on Wednesday morning, as reported by Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Having fallen out of favor at Villa Park, boss Unai Emery has confirmed that the left-back is nearing an exit from the club.
Despite offers to return to his home country of Spain, Moreno has opted to continue his career in the Premier League.
A deal has been reached between Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa, with Moreno set to join the Tricky Trees on an initial loan.
The 31-year-old will undergo his medical on Wednesday morning and Nottingham Forest will have the option to make the move permanent if the loan is successful, although details of the potential fee remain undisclosed.
