Wolves are gearing up to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, with both teams eager to secure their first points of the new Premier League season.
In team news for Wolves, Nelson Semedo returns to the squad after serving a suspension for a red card he received against Liverpool last season. Unfortunately, Enso Gonzalez is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to an ACL injury sustained while competing at the Olympic Games. Additionally, Leon Chiwone is currently out of action with an ankle injury. Despite generating interest from Blackburn Rovers and Hull City last month, his new four-year deal at Molineux, announced in June, illustrates his importance to the team.
On the Chelsea side, captain Reece James suffered a minor hamstring injury just before the start of the season and is also serving a four-game suspension, making him unavailable for selection. Goalkeeper Dorde Petrovic missed the recent United States tour but is working hard to earn his place back in the squad. He faces stiff competition from new signing Filip Jorgensen, along with Robert Sanchez and Kepa Arrizabalaga. Omari Kellyman, who joined from Aston Villa in the summer, is currently recovering from an unspecified injury. Although he played 45 minutes in a Premier League 2 match last week, he may not be fully fit to join the match day squad just yet.
