BREAKING NEW: £9m defender is now desperate to make Premier League move after Nottingham Forest show interest

Nottingham Forest has been incredibly active in this summer’s transfer market as they welcomed eight new faces to the City Ground, with Alex Moreno being the latest addition.

Despite only managing to secure a single point in their season opener against Bournemouth, Forest’s new signings did not feature from the start on Saturday, with Nikola Milenkovic unable to even make the squad due to a technicality.

With a week left before the transfer window closes, the Reds have the opportunity to further strengthen their squad, with one player eager to make a move to the Premier League following Forest’s interest this summer.

While Forest has already agreed personal terms with Eddie Nketiah and are looking to sign another player or two, their focus is not solely on attackers. They are also considering bringing back Gonzalo Montiel, who is keen on returning to the Premier League amid interest from his former club.

Montiel, who spent last season on loan at the City Ground from Sevilla, is determined to make an impact in the Premier League after only making eight starts and providing three assists last season.

The Reds must prioritize signing a new striker despite Wood’s impressive form, as their attacking department was a concern last season. While Nketiah may not guarantee goals, he would certainly offer valuable depth to the squad.
