Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly had their bid for Ethan Sutherland rejected by St Mirren, who are eager to hold onto the promising winger. The initial offer of £250,000 plus add-ons was quickly turned down by the Scottish club, despite Sutherland’s contract set to expire soon.
With the transfer deadline looming, St Mirren may consider a higher offer for the 18-year-old, who has attracted interest from Premier League giants Manchester City and Chelsea in the past. Crystal Palace and manager Oliver Glasner are also said to be monitoring Sutherland’s development closely.
Although primarily a wide midfielder, Sutherland has shown his versatility by playing in various positions, including full-back. Despite limited senior appearances for St Mirren, the youngster impressed during a loan spell at Alloa Athletic, scoring two goals and creating six assists in 18 matches.
