Ipswich Town is reportedly considering making a late move for Middlesbrough striker Emmanuel Latte Lath, with manager Kieran McKenna aiming to strengthen his attacking options for the upcoming Premier League season.
According to The Daily Mail, the Tractor Boys have their sights set on the Ivorian forward as a potential alternative to Armando Broja, who was unable to secure a move to Portman Road. Latte Lath, who joined Boro last year from Atalanta, impressed in his debut season in England under Michael Carrick, scoring 18 goals in 36 appearances.
It is unlikely that Middlesbrough will want to let go of the 25-year-old so easily, so Ipswich may have to make a significant offer to convince them to sell. Despite initial doubts surrounding Latte Lath’s arrival, he has proven himself as a valuable asset to the team with his impressive performances.
The striker had a slow start in the Championship but finished the season strongly, scoring 11 goals in the last 12 games and earning the Championship Player of the Month award for April. His form has attracted interest from other clubs, leading Ipswich to consider a late move for him.
