DISASTROUS BOMBSHELL: Dave Edwards sends serious warning to Gary O’Neil over Wolves ‘problem position’ after Forest draw

Following Wolves’ draw against Nottingham Forest, former midfielder Dave Edwards reached out to Gary O’Neil with some observations.

The match at the City Ground was a thrilling one, typical of encounters between the two teams. O’Neil’s side managed to secure a point, breaking their five-game losing streak in the Premier League.

Despite some positives, such as Bellegarde’s impressive goal, there are still areas that need improvement within the squad.

O’Neil had to address the defensive issues after conceding eight goals in the first two league games against Arsenal and Chelsea. By making tactical changes, including moving Ait-Nouri forward and bringing in Dawson and Semedo, he was able to stabilize the backline.

However, the left-back position remains a concern. Toti Gomes, who struggled at the start of the season, showed improvement in the Forest game. Edwards acknowledged this as a potential problem area for Wolves.

With limited options at left-back, including only Ait-Nouri and Toti, it remains to be seen how O’Neil will manage the situation going forward. Despite the lack of reinforcement in that position during the summer transfer window, the team must find a solution to avoid further issues in the future.
