DEVASTATING BLOW-KEY PLAYERS RULED OUT: Chris Davies leaves Birmingham City in shambles as two key players sidelined indefinitely after brutal injuries!

Chris Davies, manager of Birmingham City, has confirmed that both Ethan Laird and Luke Harris will be sidelined for over a month due to injuries sustained during their match against Wigan Athletic. Laird and Harris were forced off early in the game and subsequent scans have shown the extent of their injuries.

Speaking after the team’s draw with Walsall, Davies said, “Ethan and Luke both have ankle knocks that will require them to be out for some time. The results came in yesterday and it looks like they will be sidelined for at least a month. We have a strong squad to cope with their absence, but it will be a challenge.”

This news will be disappointing for Laird, who had managed to stay fit throughout pre-season and had started all of Birmingham City’s matches under Davies. Laird’s injury history has unfortunately resurfaced, necessitating another spell on the sidelines.

In Laird’s absence, summer signing Alfons Sampsted will have the opportunity to prove himself at right-back once he returns from international duty with Iceland. Alternatively, Taylor Gardner-Hickman and Brandon Khela can also fill in at right-back for Birmingham City.
