Nottingham Forest and Brighton played to a thrilling 2-2 draw, with the game filled with excitement and controversy.
Forest took the lead with Chris Wood converting a penalty, their first spot-kick since November 2023 in the Premier League. However, Brighton turned the game around just before halftime with goals from Jack Hinshelwood and Danny Welbeck.
Forest fought back, with substitutes Jota Silva and Ramon Sosa combining to score the equaliser and secure a point. Despite Morgan Gibbs-White receiving a red card late in the game, the players put in solid performances overall.
During the match, Lee Hendrie highlighted the outstanding performance of Forest’s big centre-back Murillo, who played a crucial role in defense. Murillo’s value to the team was evident, and it’s clear he will be a key player for Forest this season.
Only 22 years old, Murillo has continued to impress, especially alongside new partner Nikola Milenkovic. With his potential and continued development, it’s likely that bigger clubs will soon come calling for the talented defender.
