£40M DEAL CONFIRMED: Nottingham Forest set sights on signing £40m-valued star

Nottingham Forest is eyeing a move for Burnley winger Luca Koleosho, according to sources familiar with the situation. Football Insider’s senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke shared on the Inside Track podcast that Koleosho’s potential transfer will hinge on Burnley’s position in the Championship.

Burnley has placed a £40million valuation on the 20-year-old following his contract extension. A January move seems unlikely, with the summer transfer window appearing to be a more feasible timeframe for any potential transfer.

Wolves were interested in signing Koleosho on deadline day but were deterred by Burnley’s asking price. However, competition for the winger’s signature is expected to be fierce, with several clubs reportedly monitoring his situation.

Nottingham Forest will need to outbid other suitors to secure Koleosho, as there is anticipated to be significant interest in the player. Forest has been in the market for a winger since the summer, and Koleosho has emerged as a prime target amid growing interest in Anthony Elanga.

Having scored one goal and provided an assist in 15 Premier League appearances last season, Koleosho has made an impressive start to the current campaign, netting two goals in five Championship games. He has been a key figure in Burnley’s squad, with manager Scott Parker showing faith in him by starting him in most matches.
