Nottingham Forest has announced that Tom Cartledge will be stepping down from his position as Chairman of the Club to focus more on running his family businesses. The Club expressed their gratitude and best wishes for Tom as he transitions out of his role. However, he will remain on the Board of Directors to continue supporting Forest’s growth strategy.
Tom was appointed as Chairman at the beginning of the 2023/24 season with a focus on the Club’s redevelopment plans for The City Ground and strengthening relationships with the city and its fans.
In light of Tom’s departure, Nicholas Randall KC has been reappointed as Chairman. Nicholas previously served in this role for six years after Evangelos Marinakis acquired the Club in 2017. He has continued to contribute significantly to the Board of Directors, particularly in governance and legal matters over the past year.
Tom Cartledge expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to work for the Club he has supported all his life and for the progress made in realizing Mr. Marinakis’ vision for the Club’s future. He will now focus on advising the owners on real estate strategy while continuing his work in his family business.
Nicholas Randall KC thanked Tom for his dedication and hard work and expressed his excitement about resuming the role of Chairman. He expressed gratitude to Mr. Marinakis and the Board for their trust and looks forward to the next chapter in Forest’s history.
