Following Celtic’s Champions League nightmare in Dortmund, Kris Boyd wasted no time in poking fun at their defeat. The Rangers legend took to social media to take a jab at Brendan Rodgers’ side after their humbling 7-1 loss at Signal Iduna Park. Despite their impressive domestic form, Celtic had a night to forget in Germany as they were outclassed by the ruthless hosts.
Boyd didn’t hold back, sharing a picture of the ‘Yellow Wall’ on his Instagram along with several ‘flushed face’ emoji icons. He continued to taunt Rodgers and his team with more posts, including one featuring the managers post-match and another with his face photoshopped amongst Dortmund fans. The former player cheekily captioned it with messages praising the opposition and hinting at a return visit.
It was a rough night for Celtic as Karim Adeyemi netted a hat-trick for Dortmund, with Serhou Guirassy adding a brace. Emre Can and Felix Nmecha also found the back of the net, while Daizen Maeda scored the lone goal for the visitors early on. Despite their disappointment, Celtic will be hoping to put this result behind them and focus on their upcoming matches.
