In a hard-fought match against Ross County, Celtic winger Nicolas Kuhn found himself at the center of controversy after scoring the winning goal. Despite being on a booking, Kuhn was unaware of his caution earlier in the match and was surprised by suggestions that he should have been sent off.
After falling behind to a penalty from Ronan Hale, Celtic rallied late in the game with goals from Alistair Johnston and Kuhn. The German’s goal celebration led to calls for his dismissal, but Kuhn remained unfazed.
Unaware of his first booking and brushing off his second for a scuffle with Connor Randall, Kuhn’s German efficiency helped secure the victory for Celtic. As they head into the international break on a high, the team now looks forward to a friendly against Sligo Rovers.
Manager Brendan Rodgers plans to use the match to give playing time to fringe players and academy youngsters. Kick-off at the Showground is scheduled for 7:30pm on Wednesday evening.
