Nottingham Forest climbed to third place in the Premier League standings after a dominant 3-0 victory over West Ham United on Saturday afternoon. Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad secured their third consecutive win and fourth straight unbeaten match at the City Ground.
The Reds took the lead in the 27th minute with Chris Wood scoring his eighth goal of the season up close. West Ham’s Edson Alvarez received two quick yellow cards and was sent off, leaving his team with ten men before halftime.
Callum Hudson-Odoi increased Forest’s lead with a beautifully curled free kick in the 65th minute. Michael Dawson expressed how at ease Forest were playing and made a humorous comment about the quality of West Ham’s performance.
Ola Aina sealed the victory with a powerful shot into the top corner after intercepting an attempted chip from Jean-Clair Todibo. Dawson praised Aina’s strike and criticized West Ham’s defending once again.
Looking ahead, Forest will face Newcastle United on Sunday 10 November, while West Ham, currently 14th in the table, will host Everton on Saturday 9 November.
