BLASTING OUTBURST over VAR decision: Alan Shearer slammed what he deemed a “massive mistake” that worked in Wolves’ favor during their win against Southampton.

Wolves secured their first victory of the Premier League season on match day 11 at Molineux, a much-needed win against newly-promoted Southampton. The pressure was on for Wolves, with the team determined to earn three crucial points under the leadership of Gary O’Neil.

The game started with a bang as Pablo Sarabia scored the fastest ever Premier League goal for Wolves within the first two minutes. Matheus Cunha added to the tally with a powerful strike, sealing the long-awaited win for the home team.

However, controversy struck when Southampton netted an equaliser through Ryan Manning, only for the goal to be disallowed after VAR review. The decision caused a stir, with Alan Shearer criticizing the call and questioning the use of VAR in the game.

Despite the drama, Wolves held on to their lead and secured the much-deserved victory. The win lifted them off the bottom of the table and brought them within one point of safety. While the game may not have been the most glamorous, the importance of the win cannot be understated.

With the momentum from this victory, Wolves now look to build on their success after the international break. The win provided a much-needed boost for O’Neil and his team, giving them a chance to turn their season around and climb up the table.
