Ethan Ampadu is confident that Leeds United has untapped potential despite facing stiff competition from Sunderland and Sheffield United at the top of the Championship.
With Régis Le Bris’ team leading on goal difference, both Sunderland and Sheffield United are tied on 31 points, while Leeds United sits in third place with 29 points. As Championship clubs gear up for their return after the November international break, Ampadu believes there is more to come from his team.
“We know there is more we can give, more potential waiting to be unleashed,” Ampadu shared with the Yorkshire Evening Post. “It’s exciting for us, but talk is cheap. Our focus is on showing it on the pitch.”
In a recent interview with BBC Radio Leeds, Ampadu expressed the team’s commitment to entertaining football, despite sometimes facing opponents who slow down the game. “We want to play entertaining football, but our priority is always getting the result,” he stated. “Luckily, we’ve been successful at that this season. We’re working on providing an entertaining style of play, even when the game gets bogged down.”
