Fabian Hurzeler addressed the media regarding Bart Verbruggen’s error at the beginning of Brighton’s match against Fulham. The team suffered a 3-1 defeat at Craven Cottage on December 5th, with Verbruggen’s early mistake allowing Iwobi to score for Fulham.
During the post-game press conference, Hurzeler stated, “Mistakes happen in football. It’s part of the game. Bart was trying to play out from the back and find solutions on the ground, which I appreciate. We will review the error and provide feedback to help him improve.
“I have faith that our players are growing and learning from these experiences. By facing challenges and making mistakes, they will develop both on and off the field. We will continue to work with Bart to ensure that he learns from this moment and doesn’t repeat it in the future.”
