“from bad to worse, he should have done better” Paul Merson Blast and criticize Leeds senior star after what he did during injury time v Blackburn

Paul Merson didn’t hold back in criticizing Max Wober for missing a crucial chance to secure a last-minute victory for Leeds United in their 1-1 draw against Blackburn Rovers.

The new year didn’t start off on a positive note for Leeds, as Danny Batth’s late equalizer dashed Daniel Farke’s hopes of extending their lead at the top of the Championship table on January 1st at Elland Road.

After Jayden Bogle suffered an injury during the match, Merson pointed out Wober’s missed opportunity in the dying moments of the game while commentating live on Sky Sports News. The defender had a chance to score a winner but ended up heading the ball over the bar.

Wober, who had previously scored in a 2-0 win against Derby County, was brought on in the hopes of repeating his heroics. However, his missed opportunity against Blackburn left Leeds supporters disappointed.

While a draw might have been a fair result, the performance from Leeds didn’t live up to expectations for a team leading the table. Despite maintaining their position at the top, Farke will be ruing the missed chance to widen the gap with the chasing pack.

Unfortunately for Wober, he is likely to face criticism from fans in West Yorkshire for his missed opportunity in the crucial match.
