In January, Ipswich Town is on the hunt to bolster their forward line, showing interest in Ben Doak and Jaden Philogene.
Doak, a 19-year-old right winger, started his career at Celtic before moving to Liverpool. He is currently on loan at Middlesbrough, where he has impressed with two goals and six assists in 21 matches. Reports of a £16 million bid for Doak have been confirmed but rejected by his current club. Nevertheless, Ipswich remains keen on the Scottish talent.
Philogene, on the other hand, was almost signed from Hull City over the summer but ended up returning to Aston Villa. The 22-year-old winger may be available for loan, and Ipswich is eyeing the opportunity to bring him to Portman Road.
While Botafogo’s Igor Jesus has also been linked, Ipswich’s focus seems to be primarily on acquiring wingers and a striker rather than a midfielder. Despite rumors of interest in Nemanja Matic, reports suggest Ipswich has no plans to pursue the veteran midfielder at this time.
