Boyd appears to be holding his ground after being mocked by Chris Sutton following Celtic’s victory over Ross County, where the Sky Sports pundit raised a questionable VAR claim that even the show’s presenter, Eilidh Barbour, was skeptical of.
Even after three days, Boyd is still harping on about a potential red card incident in Celtic’s game against Ross County, insisting that nobody wants to address it. He believes Alistair Johnston should have been sent off for his challenge that led to a penalty for Ross County.
Despite receiving criticism for his opinions, Boyd acknowledges that Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers may have discovered a new tactic by fielding both Kyogo Furuhashi and Adam Idah in their recent win. However, it is unlikely that Rodgers will continue with this strategy once his injury concerns are resolved due to the impressive performances of wingers Nicolas Kuhn and Daizen Maeda.
Just like the VAR decisions, Boyd should perhaps trust those with more expertise to handle the Celtic team selections.
