INJURY CRISIS: Middlesbrough injury news as Carrick crisis could see Ayling and eight others miss Leeds United clash

Leeds United face a tough challenge as they travel to Middlesbrough on Tuesday night, with the Championship leaders looking to bounce back from a recent slump in form. Middlesbrough, meanwhile, are in good shape, having won five of their last seven games and sitting fifth in the table.

However, the Boro are dealing with an extensive injury crisis, with nine players potentially missing the game against Leeds. Six players are confirmed to be out, including star striker Emmanuel Latte Lath, who was sold to Atlanta United in January for a record £17.75m transfer fee. Three other players, including Luke Ayling, Neto Borges, and Dael Fry, are doubts for the game.

In contrast, Leeds United have a much better injury list, with only Joe Rothwell confirmed to be missing due to injury. Pascal Struijk may also join him on the sidelines after picking up an injury in the recent 1-1 draw against Luton.

Despite the challenge ahead, Leeds fans can take confidence from manager Daniel Farke’s record against Middlesbrough, with eight wins from 10 games against the Boro. A win on Tuesday could still see Leeds climb back into first place, with just two points separating the top three teams in the Championship.
