West Ham United’s manager, Graham Potter, is planning a major overhaul of the team, with up to 11 players potentially leaving the club. The team is looking to raise over £100m in player sales to fund new signings, with eight new players expected to arrive.
The players expected to leave include loan players Evan Ferguson and Carlos Soler, as well as Danny Ings, who earns £125k per week. Other players up for sale include Guido Rodriguez, Maxwel Cornet, Vladimir Coufal, and Emerson Palmieri.
Some players, such as Michail Antonio and Aaron Cresswell, may be offered new contracts, while others, like Niclas Fullkrug, could be sold if the right offer comes in. The club is also open to offers for Edson Alvarez and Lucas Paqueta, depending on the outcome of his trial.
Meanwhile, Potter is looking to sign new players in several positions, including a full-back who can play both sides, a new centre-back, and a goalkeeper. The team may also sign up to three new midfielders and one or two new strikers.
The club’s transfer plans are ambitious, and Potter is expected to make significant changes to the team in the summer transfer window. The extended transfer window, which opens between June 1-10 and re-opens until September, will give West Ham plenty of time to make their moves.
