HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT: Brendan Rodgers on fire after being told Celtic duo are a ‘waste of money’, as Jota also slammed for being comfortable

Brendan Rodgers got the reaction he wanted from his Celtic players after their recent slump. Following a defeat to St Johnstone, Rodgers expressed his frustration, which wasn’t just about the isolated result but the team’s performance since the new year.

The Celtic faithful backed Rodgers’ sentiments, and changes were made for the match against Kilmarnock. The team responded well, securing a 5-1 win with Adam Idah returning to the XI and Nicolas Kuhn benched.

However, not all players are safe from criticism. Hugh Keevins believes Adam Idah and Auston Trusty have been a “waste of money,” while Nicolas Kuhn and Jota are also in the firing line. Kuhn’s form has dipped, and Jota is accused of becoming too comfortable.

Keevins said, “Brendan Rodgers is thinking, ‘what is going on with these people? I will have to make changes (in the summer), because of this complacency’.” With changes expected in the summer, some players may find themselves out of the team.
