During the previous summer, Olivier Boscagli had high hopes of making a switch to Brighton & Hove Albion following their offer to PSV Eindhoven.
Unfortunately, the deal did not come to fruition as the Seagulls’ proposed fee did not meet the expectations of the Eredivisie side, who decided not to sell despite the fact that the center-back’s contract is set to expire at the end of the upcoming month.

In an interview with ESPN NL, Boscagli revealed his disappointment at the collapse of the transfer to Brighton last summer, acknowledging the difficulties he faced in moving past it.
While sharing his frustration with PSV’s refusal to let him go to Brighton, Boscagli expressed his understanding of the situation and the financial implications for the Dutch club.

Despite the setback, Boscagli remains focused on his ambitions of competing in a top league with a strong team, potentially leaving the door open for Brighton to make another attempt in the future.
