After Thomas Frank’s departure from Brentford, Nottingham Forest’s interest in two of the Bees’ star players still stands. Bryan Mbeumo seems to have chosen Manchester United over Forest, but Nuno Espirito Santo is still keen on Yoane Wissa. Forest has reportedly made a fresh bid for Wissa, who they had tried to sign in January without success.
However, Frank’s move to Tottenham has complicated the situation. Tottenham is now in the race for Wissa, with reports suggesting that Frank wants the striker at his new club in North London. Despite Forest’s interest, Brentford is unlikely to sell Wissa for less than £40m due to an option to extend his contract.

If the bid for Wissa falls through, Forest has other options to consider. They have already secured the signing of Igor Jesus and are also looking at Dusan Vlahovic. However, Vlahovic’s high wage demands could be a concern for the Reds.
As the summer transfer window progresses, more names and opportunities are likely to come up, providing Forest with alternative targets if they are unable to secure their primary choices.
