SAD DEPARTURE: £11m Nottingham Forest player now set for City Ground exit, he’s not had a look in under Nuno

Nottingham Forest are set for a busy transfer window as they look to reshape their squad before the September deadline. Igor Jesus has already been signed from Botafogo, with potential deals for Jair Cunha and Cuiabano from Brazilian champions in the works.

There are rumors linking Anthony Elanga with a move to Newcastle, but Forest are keen to retain him for another season to push for progress. With loan players returning, the club is determined to avoid a repeat of past struggles with overloaded squad.

Andrew Omobamidele is on the verge of leaving Forest for Strasbourg, with the French club activating a clause in his loan deal to make the move permanent. Despite arriving in 2023, he struggled for game time under previous managers but found some opportunities under Nuno Espirito Santo. His departure is seen as a necessary move to trim the squad and free up wages.

Other players, like Harry Toffolo and Alex Moreno, have already left Forest, while others like Marko Stamenic and David Carmo may also follow suit. Manager Espirito Santo is hoping that by offloading Omobamidele, it will kickstart a chain reaction to prevent the club from facing a squad overload situation once again.
