CELTIC’S £6.9m BID SHATTERED: Romanian Liga 1 GOAL MACHINE puts Celtic, French Giants on NOTICE with Outrageous PRICE TAG in TRANSFER BOMBSHELL!

Celtic’s search for a new striker is still ongoing this summer, even with Shin Yamada on the verge of joining the team. Manager Brendan Rodgers is determined to find a suitable replacement for Kyogo Furuhashi.

With Callum Osmand already added to the squad and Adam Idah on board for the upcoming season, Rodgers is not satisfied and is now eyeing CFR Cluj striker Louis Munteanu. The club reportedly had a £6.9m bid rejected for the prolific goalscorer, who was the top scorer in Romania last season.

Munteanu, who previously played for Fiorentina, made a big impact with CFR Cluj, scoring 25 goals in his debut season. The 23-year-old’s impressive performances helped Cluj win the Romanian Cup and secure a second-place finish in the league.

Despite Celtic’s initial offer being turned down, the club remains keen on signing Munteanu, with French clubs Lille and Nice also interested. However, Munteanu’s agent is holding out for a higher price, with Cluj reportedly asking for over £8.6m for their star striker.

Known for his abilities on the pitch, Munteanu was a standout in the Romanian Cup final, scoring a crucial goal and providing an assist to secure victory for Cluj. His impressive youth career at Fiorentina, where he won multiple titles, highlights his potential as a top striker.

Having scored a total of 68 goals in 175 appearances and 17 youth international goals for Romania, Munteanu’s talent and experience make him a coveted target for Celtic as they seek to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.
