Celtic has upped their bid for Sebastian Tounekti, with reports suggesting the Scottish Premiership champions have offered £4m for the winger.
After an initial offer of £3m was rejected by Hammarby, Celtic has returned with a better deal in their pursuit of the Tunisian player.
Tounekti, 23, joined Hammarby from Haugesund earlier this year and has previous experience with Tromsdalen and Bodo Glimt.
Manager Brendan Rodgers is keen to add him to the squad at Lennoxtown before the impending deadline day, potentially alongside new signings Kasper Dolberg and Michel-Ange Balikwisha.
With Adam Idah likely to depart for Swansea, Celtic are looking to strengthen their team with the addition of Tounekti and left-back Marcelo Saracchi from Boca Juniors.
