Hutchinson, the club’s record signing from Ipswich Town for £37m, is rumored to be sacrificed to adhere to UEFA regulations, given Forest’s ample attacking options.
Dan Ndoye, who arrived from Bologna, has already secured a starting position on the right-wing for Forest, and the arrival of Dilane Bakwa from Strasbourg on deadline day further strengthens that area. With Ndoye and Bakwa ahead of Hutchinson in the pecking order, it seems likely that the young England U21 international could be left out of the European squad.
Edu, the club’s New Head of Football, played a significant role in Hutchinson’s signing, leveraging his connections within the football industry, particularly with influential figure Kia Joorabchian. The Brazilian’s involvement in securing Hutchinson’s transfer, along with Douglas Luiz’s loan deal from Juventus, showcased Edu’s impact on Forest’s recruitment strategy.
However, despite Edu’s efforts, it appears that Nuno Espírito Santo, the manager, has opted to prioritize other attacking options over Hutchinson for the upcoming European campaign.
