MEDICAL FINALLY SCHEDULED “here we go” : Leeds now set to sign big-name free agent for Farke

Leeds United are reportedly considering a move to sign former Arsenal and Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on a free transfer, with the 32-year-old currently being a free agent after being released by Besiktas in August.

Several clubs, including Birmingham City, are interested in Oxlade-Chamberlain, who is seen as a low-cost gamble due to his recent injury-hit seasons in Turkey. The England international has played for top clubs such as Arsenal and Liverpool, accumulating significant experience with over 200 Premier League appearances and 50 Champions League appearances.

Oxlade-Chamberlain was part of Liverpool’s success in winning the Champions League and the Premier League titles and has four FA Cup titles to his name. His return to English football could offer Leeds United a seasoned midfield option as they look to bolster their squad following a busy summer transfer window that saw several arrivals and departures.

While Leeds have made a decent start to the Premier League campaign, sitting 12th in the table after the initial games, the potential addition of Oxlade-Chamberlain could provide additional depth and experience to their midfield. It remains to be seen whether the move materializes and if Oxlade-Chamberlain opts for a switch to Elland Road as he looks to make a return to English football.
