Nottingham Forest are currently facing a dilemma regarding the future of Ange Postecoglou as head coach at the City Ground. Despite being brought in to replace Nuno Espirito Santo early in the season, Postecoglou has struggled to secure a win in his first seven matches in charge.

The dissatisfaction among Forest fans has been evident, with chants of “sacked in the morning” echoing through the stadium during a recent defeat to Midtjylland. However, the club’s hierarchy is still willing to give Postecoglou time to turn things around.

Former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson believes that if results continue to be “terrible,” Forest may have no choice but to part ways with Postecoglou. In that scenario, Marco Silva, who has been linked with the club due to his successful tenure at Fulham, could be a potential replacement.

Silva, whose contract expires at the end of the season and has a release clause of approximately £8million, could be a costly but necessary investment for Forest if they decide to make a change. Borson suggests that in today’s football landscape, such compensation for managers is commonplace and should not be a hindrance in making crucial decisions for the club’s future.

Ultimately, Forest will need to carefully consider their options and make a decision that will benefit the team’s performance on the pitch. Sean Dyche has been suggested as a possible replacement for Postecoglou, with his experience and track record making him a strong candidate for the job if Forest chooses to make a change.
