Sources from GIVEMESPORT have revealed that Sean Dyche, the former Burnley and Everton boss, is a strong candidate to take over as the manager of Nottingham Forest after Ange Postecoglou’s departure. Dyche’s experience in the Premier League is seen as a valuable asset by global head of football Edu Gaspar and global technical director George Syrianos, who believe he can quickly turn the team’s fortunes around.
Discussions with Dyche began during the international break and intensified after Postecoglou was sacked following a loss to Chelsea. Dyche, known for his strong defensive tactics and no-nonsense approach, is reportedly interested in a longer-term contract and could potentially lead Forest in their upcoming Europa League clash against Porto.
While Roberto Mancini is also being considered for the role, negotiations have not progressed as smoothly. The club also admires Marco Silva of Fulham, but the financial implications of hiring him mid-season may prove prohibitive. Despite their current position in the Premier League table, Forest remain hopeful of achieving European competition this season under the guidance of a new manager like Dyche.
