The 20-year-old is said to only consider leaving Dortmund for a team competing in the Champions League, underlining his desire to prove himself at the highest level. While Bellingham has been frustrated with limited game time at Dortmund, he is focused on showcasing his abilities in top-tier competition.
Having joined Dortmund from Sunderland in a deal that could reach £31 million last summer, Bellingham is yet to score in his 12 appearances under manager Niko Kovac since the Club World Cup. Reports also suggest tensions between Bellingham’s father, Mark, and Dortmund’s sporting director Sebastian Kehl following a disagreement earlier in the season regarding the midfielder’s substitution on debut.
On another front, Sunderland striker Wilson Isidor has been attracting significant interest following his impressive performances in the Premier League. Aston Villa is reportedly monitoring the 25-year-old, with several top European clubs’ scouts closely tracking his displays, notably his standout performance in the recent victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Former Sunderland and Manchester United chief scout, Mick Brown, highlighted Isidor’s rise and the attention he has garnered from top clubs, emphasizing that Sunderland will be eager to retain their key players after a strong start under manager Régis Le Bris. Isidor, who signed permanently with Sunderland midway through last season after a successful loan spell, is under contract until the summer of 2028.
Brown acknowledged the challenges that come with performing well at a higher level, attracting outside interest, and stressed the importance for Sunderland to maintain their talented squad amidst growing attention and potential transfer speculations.
