Ramon Sosa found himself thrust back into the transfer spotlight mere months after his departure from Nottingham Forest and the Premier League.
Reported by Brazilian outlet BolaVip and echoed by fresh news out of Turkey, Besiktas has identified the Paraguayan player as their top target for the upcoming January transfer window. Besiktas vice-president Murat Kılıç indicated that the club would convene internal meetings to address squad requirements, with a particular emphasis on reinforcing the left-wing position.
Sources suggest that Sosa has emerged as the front-runner for Besiktas. Club officials are said to be preparing for formal discussions with Palmeiras in January to negotiate a potential move.
Previously acquired by the Brazilian side for €12.5m earlier this year, Sosa made the switch from Nottingham Forest in search of regular playing time and a chance to shine. Since his arrival in Brazil, the 26-year-old has featured in 25 matches, scoring twice and providing two assists.
Known for his versatility in playing across different flanks and his adeptness in operating in an advanced attacking role, Sosa’s dribbling skills, success in duels, and ability to create scoring opportunities make him an attractive prospect for Besiktas.
