Crystal Palace is one of several Premier League clubs showing interest in Bodo/Glimt forward Jens Petter Hauge, as reported by TEAMtalk.
The Selhurst Park side reportedly traveled to Germany to watch the 26-year-old winger in action during Bodo/Glimt’s 2-2 draw with Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, where Hauge scored a crucial late goal.
Hauge, a Norway international, has been in outstanding form for Bodo/Glimt this season, scoring 11 goals and providing nine assists in 38 appearances across all competitions.
Having joined Bodo/Glimt from Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2024, Hauge is contracted until December 2028.
According to TEAMtalk, Hauge would be open to a move to the Premier League during the mid-season transfer window, with interest growing from various English clubs.
In addition to Crystal Palace, Leeds United, Brighton, Everton, and Brentford are all said to be keeping tabs on the talented Norwegian, who has made a strong impression in the Champions League this campaign.
In his debut season in the prestigious European competition with Bodo/Glimt, Hauge has already scored three times in six appearances, including a brace against Tottenham in September.
Following his impressive performances, Tottenham manager Thomas Frank praised Hauge as ‘fantastic’ and expressed past interest in signing him for his former club, Brentford.
Hauge began his professional career with Bodo/Glimt before moving to AC Milan in October 2020. After a brief stint with the Rossoneri, he joined Eintracht Frankfurt on loan in 2021 before making the move permanent the following year.
With 13 caps for the Norway national team, Hauge has been a prominent figure, although he has missed out on the squad for the last eight games.
While Palace eyes a potential move for Hauge, manager Oliver Glasner’s contract negotiations are also in focus as talks for a new agreement are yet to progress. Glasner mentioned that discussions could extend into the new year as the club anticipates a busy transfer window in January.
