Ipswich Town are reportedly considering a summer move for Joe Taylor, as the club begins shaping its attacking options ahead of a crucial 2026/27 campaign.
The 23-year-old forward, currently contracted to Huddersfield Town, has caught attention during a prolific loan spell at Wigan Athletic. Taylor has netted nine goals in just 14 appearances for the Latics, reigniting interest from multiple clubs across the English football pyramid.
Rising Through the Ranks
Taylor’s journey has been anything but conventional. After departing Norwich City’s academy, he rebuilt his career through non-league football with King’s Lynn Town before earning opportunities higher up the ladder.
Spells with Peterborough United and Luton Town followed, but it was during loan stints at Colchester United and Lincoln City where Taylor truly made his mark. His consistent goal-scoring form at those levels showcased a natural poacher’s instinct and helped earn him a move to Huddersfield.
