“You can leave the club” Daniel Farke has ‘made it clear’ to Leeds United youngster that he can Exit Elland Road now

Archie Gray’s departure to Tottenham marks the beginning of Leeds United’s summer of sales, with more players likely to follow suit. Daniel Farke has reportedly given a young player the green light to find a new club.

Gray’s £40m move to Spurs has relieved some financial pressure on the club, but there are still outstanding transfer fees to be paid, necessitating further sales. Brighton are rumored to be interested in four Leeds players, including Willy Gnonto and Glen Kamara, while a £30m bid for Georginio Rutter was turned down.

Junior Firpo is expected to depart as his contract is set to expire, putting Leeds in a position to either sell him or negotiate a new deal. Patrick Bamford, Joel Piroe, and Charlie Cresswell are also attracting interest.

Cresswell, who impressed on loan at Millwall, has struggled for game time at Leeds and reportedly fell out of favor with Farke last season. The 21-year-old has been told he can leave the club, with Toulouse showing interest in signing him.

A £3.8m deal with Toulouse was on the table, but negotiations hit a snag, leading to Cresswell returning to Thorp Arch. Despite the setback, it is likely that other clubs will pursue the talented defender in the upcoming weeks.
