ANOTGER ELLAND ROAD DEPARTURE- Talks open: Huge club Officially make first move to sign £57,000-a-week Leeds player who Bielsa loves

Leeds United are reportedly engaging in discussions with another club regarding the potential sale of a player who earns £57,000 a week during the upcoming transfer window.

After narrowly missing out on returning to the Premier League last season, Leeds are gearing up for another campaign in the Championship under the guidance of Daniel Farke. Despite facing some financial constraints due to their continued stay in the second tier, chairman Paraag Marathe has assured fans that the club will have the necessary resources to make necessary signings.

While some key players like Archie Gray, Crysencio Summerville, and Wilfried Gnonto have been linked with moves away, others like Brenden Aaronson could play significant roles in the team’s promotion push next season. However, one player who may be on the verge of leaving Elland Road is centre-back Diego Llorente, who spent the previous season on loan at AS Roma.

Recent reports from Italy suggest that Roma and Leeds are currently negotiating a potential permanent transfer deal for Llorente, with a fee of €5m (£4.2m) being mentioned. Despite receiving praise from former manager Marcelo Bielsa, it seems Llorente’s future with the club is in doubt after an inconsistent spell following his promising start at Leeds.

With a significant number of appearances under his belt for both Leeds and Roma, a permanent transfer may be the best option for all parties involved as Leeds look to make necessary adjustments to their squad ahead of next season.
