Leeds United are scheduled to enter discussions with Max Wober and Rasmus Kristensen this week regarding their future at Elland Road, as reported by Yorkshire Evening Post.
In a recent post on their website, the news outlet stated that the two defenders are set to return to Thorp Arch after their loan spells with Gladbach and Roma, as well as their performances at Euro 2024 this summer.
Gladbach is currently hesitant to meet Leeds’ asking price for Wober’s permanent transfer, while Roma has shown no interest in signing Kristensen permanently. Talks will be held upon their return to assess their fit in Daniel Farke’s plans.
Last summer, Leeds faced difficulties retaining players due to loan clauses, but this summer they have more control over the squad composition. With Jack Harrison returning to Everton and Archie Gray moving to Spurs, positions are opening up for potential loanees.
There is a need for a right-back, which could favor Kristensen’s return. Meanwhile, Wober could easily fit into the defense alongside departing players Charlie Cresswell and Liam Cooper.
Leeds finds themselves in a favorable position, with the option to reinvest in the squad if a tempting offer comes in or to rely on the talents of Wober and Kristensen for their promotion push.
