ANNOUNCEMENT TODAY “the reason i dumped Leeds is because..” : Leeds player rejects extension, agrees 4 years deal with new club

According to sources, Cody Drameh is in the final stages of completing his transfer to Hull City in the Championship, with the announcement expected on Tuesday, July 23. The talented 22-year-old right-back recently departed Leeds United after turning down a contract extension, opting instead to join the ranks at Hull. Following a successful medical examination, Drameh is now gearing up to link up with Tigers boss Tim Walter and his new teammates at the club.

In what has been described as a significant coup for Hull City, they faced stiff competition from Sheffield United but ultimately secured Drameh’s services. The right-back brings a wealth of experience to the team, having spent last season on loan at Birmingham City and making a total of 30 appearances, during which he provided four assists. Additionally, Drameh has previously had loan spells in the Championship with both Cardiff and Luton, further adding to his credentials.

Having initially joined Leeds United from Fulham in 2020 as a top prospect, Drameh struggled to break into the first team following their relegation to the Championship. Despite this, he leaves Leeds after making 10 senior appearances, totaling 450 minutes of game time. As he embarks on this new chapter with Hull City, Drameh will be eager to make a lasting impression and establish himself as a key player in the Championship.

Hull City’s acquisition of Cody Drameh marks their second signing of the summer transfer window, with Ryan Giles having joined the club following a loan spell in the previous season. The team is gearing up for the upcoming 2024-25 campaign, which will commence with a home fixture against Bristol City on August 10. The addition of Drameh is expected to bolster their defensive capabilities and provide a valuable asset as they aim for success in the upcoming Championship season.
