“He is all we need, a perfect replacement” -Ipswich Town’s SHOCKING £18m bid for Leeds United prodigy! Will West Ham and Southampton lose out on the next rising star?

Reports have emerged that Ipswich Town is gearing up to make a bid for Jack Clarke, the former Leeds United winger currently playing for Sunderland. After Clarke’s unsuccessful loan return to Elland Road and stints at Queens Park Rangers and Stoke City, it seemed like the winger had found his place at Tottenham Hotspur in 2019. However, Clarke has since thrived at Sunderland, scoring 27 goals in 112 appearances for the Black Cats.

His impressive performances have sparked interest from several clubs, including West Ham United and Southampton. Ipswich, recently promoted to the Premier League, is now reportedly preparing a bid for Clarke, who is valued at £18m. Tottenham, having negotiated a 40 per cent sell-on fee, will also benefit from his potential transfer.

On the other hand, Sunderland is said to be in talks with another former Leeds winger, Ian Poveda, who was recently released by the club. Poveda, who spent the last season on loan at Sheffield Wednesday, appears to be on the verge of a move to the Stadium of Light, as indicated by a photo of him posing with a Black Cats scarf.
