Leeds United find themselves in a battle with Sheffield United and Burnley for the loan signing of Crystal Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, as Crysencio Summerville prepares for his imminent transfer to West Ham.
The departure of Summerville was expected, leaving Leeds in need of attacking reinforcements despite a strong squad that earned them 90 points last season.
Sky Sports’ Lyall Thomas has reported that Leeds are interested in Rak-Sakyi, who is highly rated at Selhurst Park. The 21-year-old has attracted attention from clubs in Europe and the Premier League, including Anderlecht, Lyon, and even Southampton looking for a permanent deal.
Rak-Sakyi impressed during a loan spell at Charlton Athletic in League One with 15 goals and eight assists. His arrival would provide a much-needed balance to Leeds’ attack, following a season heavily reliant on Summerville’s creativity.
With Rak-Sakyi’s ability to play as a natural right-winger, Leeds could benefit from a more evenly distributed attacking threat, allowing full-back Jayden Bogle more freedom to support the attack. This potential signing could be the key to maintaining Leeds’ attacking prowess in the upcoming season.
