Leicester City’s potential Everton compensation claim gets Premier League decision on commission

Leicester City has until 28 days after the last Friday’s judgement to file an official claim for damages due to Everton’s breach of financial regulations in the Premier League. City, which finished just below Everton in the standings last season, has been named as one of five interested parties seeking compensation. The same independent commission that recommended the points deduction for Everton will judge the compensation claims, potentially giving City a strong case for lost earnings. The club, along with Burnley and other interested parties, must submit their claims within the given timeframe, but the process may be delayed as Everton has appealed against their punishment.
